Aan Charitable Trust is a non-profit organisation committed to providing ‘Dignity for All’ through community development and social justice initiatives with a focus on child protection, menstrual health & anaemia, and access to higher education.

About Us

‘Aan’, meaning dignity in Hindi, drives everything we do. We’ve been working in Uttarakhand since 2016 to empower underserved women, adolescent girls, and children through the power of awareness, education, and community-driven action.

Adolescent Health and Well-Being Initiative

The Adolescent Health and Well-Being Initiative (AHWI) is a groundbreaking program dedicated to addressing menstrual hygiene, period poverty, and anaemia. With millions of adolescent girls and women in underserved areas facing limited access to hygiene products and health education, AHWI is taking significant steps to create positive change.

  • Reached 6000+ adolescent girls through 50+ workshops
  • Distributed over 12,000 sanitary napkins

Kishori Uchh Shiksha Protsahan Yojna (KUSPY)

Supporting higher education of rural girls through awareness about open and distance learning mode of education, hand-holding through admission processes and scholarships through open universities.

  • Empowered 600 rural girls to pursue higher studies including hand-holding support to pursue open and distance learning opportunities
  • Supported 3 rural girls to pursue their higher education with scholarships
