An experienced entrepreneur and businesswoman, Namita’s vision and empathy are the foundation of this organization. Having been socially active and vocal on children and women’s issues from a noticeably young age, Namita finally gave a direction and name to her vision by laying the foundation of AAN in 2016 along with her daughter and co-founder Anushka Gupta.
The core idea behind the non-profit is to focus on the girl child and conduct Awareness campaigns and programs within government schools in India on “Good Touch and Bad Touch”, “No shame in Mensuration” and “Let us Learn and Grow”. AAN’s Charter is aligned to UN’s guidelines around Quality Education, Gender Equality, Health, and Wellbeing.
Namita also serves as the Coordinator of FICCI FLO_UK Women’s Empowerment [WE] Skill India Committee for the Kumaon region.
Namita has spent several years juggling the roles of a working mother and homemaker and understands the need to support the girl child and women folk whether it be through economic upliftment programs as “chindi dari” or her awareness campaigns. She continues to work hard and hopes to continue to spread the word and opportunities to rural and poor communities.
